Guest Marine Products
Guest was suffering from an eroding market share, when VP of Marketing, John Tinghitella came to Hank Schmidt for a complete overhaul of the branding and packaging. Hank developed a new logo system that included the product category designation. Then Hank designed a color code system for use on the Guest packaging and marketing materials. Hank completely redesigned the entire line of marine battery charger cartons. Individual full color cartons for each product replaced the one carton for multiple products style packaging, which was causing a lot of confusion at the point of sale. In the process of creating new packaging, new graphics were developed for the product labels that go on the chargers.
HankInk developed new clamshell and label packaging for existing products that were moved from cartons to clamshells. Guest introduced a new line of chargers under the OptiCharge brand, Hank provided the new logo and designed all the packaging components.
HankInk designed full color cartons for the redesigned spotlight line. The cartons featured a full color litho label applied to a corrugated carton.
The new graphic system was applied to the battery switch line. New paper labels and clamshells replaced the shrink sealed blister cards.
Guest introduced a new line of interior lights. Hank developed the slide-on blister card and graphics.
HankInk was responsible for developing and producing the Guest catalog, sales literature, POP display materials and trade show graphics.
